Mateo joined Racciatti & Hourquescos as an associate in 2018 until 2020, when he moved to the UK to pursue an LL.M at Queen Mary University of London.

After finishing his LL.M in London, Mateo joined the Capital Markets team of a renowned international law firm. Subsequently, he moved to Madrid after joining a well-known Spanish law firm where he was part of the banking and finance team.

Recently, Mateo rejoined Racciatti & Hourquescos in 2024 as a member of the corporate, M&A and restructuring team.

He works in the areas of corporate law, insolvency and bankruptcy, and M&A. Mateo is a licensed lawyer in Argentina and Spain.

Expertise

Mateo specialises in bank and non-bank financing transactions, including acquisition financings, corporate financings, real estate financings, restructurings and distressed debt transactions. He has also advised on on asset and/or share purchase transactions, as well as in situations of financial stress and bankruptcy proceedings.

His working languages are Spanish and English.

Teaching activity

Mateo serves as a guest lecturer of the Master in Law and Economics at Torcuato DiTella University for the course on Corporate Crisis.
